Novens was Established in 1997 by Declan Murphy.
Novens reaches out to over 20 different countries acting
as a consult for biopharmaceutical companies and the public sector worlwide to establish policies for the
promotion of national blood saftey and to distribute safe, quality and affordable biological products.
Declan Murphy - Biography
Declan Murphy is President of Novens, LLC, a consulting company specializing in healthcare development and
biologicals. A leading expert in the pharmaceutical industry, he was Executive Vice President of Business
Development of a biopharmaceutical company. Prior to that, he was Vice President of International Business
Relations at a major global pharmaceutical company. He was Executive Director of an international consumer
health association. He has given motivational speeches and seminars in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa
and Latin America. He was a professor at a major university in the U.S. He has written and produced TV
programs and been an on-camera personality, He has international experience having lived and worked in Spain,
Italy, Mexico, Virgin Islands, Canada and the U.S. He is multilingual and multicultural, and is a native of
Dublin, Ireland.
In 1997 Mr. Murphy established Novens, a Connecticut based company, which consults for major biopharmaceutical
corporations and the public health sector on healthcare and health development worldwide, specializing in safe
blood and biological products, both in the U.S. and internationally.
Mr. Murphy co-founded BKP Biologicals in 1995. There he directed the business development of the company. Prior
to 1995, Mr. Murphy was Vice President of International Business Relations of Bayer Inc., Pharmaceutical Division.
There he represented the company before governments, industry and consumer groups.
Before that, Mr. Murphy was Executive Director of the World Federation of Hemophilia, which represented 80
national member organizations. He directed and managed all activities and programs through its member organizations.
He was an NMO representative at the World Health Organization in Geneva. He served on the Board of Directors of
AmFAR (American Foundation for AIDS Research). His writings have appeared in books and medical journals. He is
fluent and culturally expert in Spanish and Italian, and speaks French.
